It began at home.
And grew into a way of sharing Africa with the world.
Wildlux Expeditions was born in Tanzania from a simple belief: the most memorable African journeys are not created by following a standard itinerary—they are created by understanding the traveler first.
When the destination you sell is the place you call home.
For founder Moses Aron, Tanzania was never simply somewhere people traveled for safari.
It was home.
The landscapes that travelers dream about—the Serengeti plains, Ngorongoro highlands, Kilimanjaro and the wilderness of northern Tanzania—were part of the country in which he grew up.
That connection shaped the way he came to understand tourism.
A safari is not simply a sequence of national parks.
Behind every remarkable journey are people, timing, logistics, local knowledge and hundreds of small decisions that travelers may never see—but certainly feel.
Experience built one journey at a time.
Before founding Wildlux Expeditions, Moses gained experience within Tanzania's safari and tourism industry, working alongside established travel companies and learning different sides of safari operations.
That experience provided insight into what happens both in front of the traveler and behind the scenes.
It meant understanding how itineraries are planned.
How routes work in reality rather than simply on a map.
How accommodation choices can change the character of a journey.
How communication before arrival shapes confidence.
And how guides, planners, camps and logistics must work together to create an experience that feels effortless to the guest.
Over time, one idea became increasingly clear:
There was room to create something more personal.
A safari company built around the traveler.
Wildlux Expeditions was established in 2022.
The vision was not simply to create another company selling safari packages.
It was to create journeys that could begin differently—with a conversation.
Where are you dreaming of going?
What do you want to experience?
Who are you traveling with?
How do you like to travel?
And what would make this journey unforgettable for you?
Those questions remain at the heart of how we approach safari planning today.
Our published journeys provide inspiration, but they are starting points.
Because no two travelers arrive in Africa with exactly the same dream.
Local roots. A wider horizon.
Tanzania remains our home and the foundation of Wildlux.
But Africa does not stop at a border—and sometimes the most extraordinary journey shouldn't either.
Today, we design private journeys connecting the landscapes and experiences of:
- Tanzania — Serengeti, Ngorongoro, Kilimanjaro, Tarangire, Zanzibar and beyond.
- Kenya — Maasai Mara, Amboseli, Samburu and remarkable wildlife country.
- Uganda — mountain gorillas, chimpanzees, wildlife and extraordinary forests.
- Rwanda — the Virunga Mountains, primate encounters and beautifully contrasting landscapes.
Some travelers explore one country deeply.
Others combine several.
Our role is not to put as many places as possible into an itinerary.
It is to find the combination that makes sense.
Grow wider. Stay personal.
As Wildlux grows, there is something we don't want to lose:
the human side of planning a journey.
A safari may be one of the most significant trips someone takes.
It deserves more than a booking transaction.
It deserves questions.
Conversation.
Thought.
And people who care about whether the journey actually fits the person taking it.
That is where Wildlux began.
And that is where we intend to stay.

Where will Africa take you?
Tell us what you're imagining. We'll help turn those first ideas into a journey designed around you.
