The East Africa Classic
"From Rift Valley lakes to the great savannahs — five remarkable landscapes across Kenya and Tanzania."
Planned in Arusha · Private safari · No obligation
A considered arc across northern Tanzania.
Two countries. Five distinctive wildlife landscapes. The East Africa Classic connects Kenya's Rift Valley and Maasai Mara with Tanzania's Serengeti, Ngorongoro and Tarangire in one experience-rich private safari.
Begin beside Lake Nakuru before entering the open grasslands of the Maasai Mara. Cross into Tanzania and continue through the Serengeti, descend into the extraordinary Ngorongoro Crater and finish among Tarangire's baobabs and elephant country.
Designed for travellers who want to experience the remarkable variety of Kenya and Tanzania within one journey. Wildlife is wild and all sightings remain unpredictable.
The moments that make this journey.
Five distinctive safari landscapes — Lake Nakuru, Maasai Mara, Serengeti, Ngorongoro and Tarangire
Kenya and Tanzania in one journey — two celebrated safari countries on a single private itinerary
More than the Migration — designed around year-round wildlife and landscape diversity rather than a guaranteed seasonal event
A remarkable Rift Valley beginning — Lake Nakuru opens the journey with a very different ecosystem before the great savannahs
Private and customisable — accommodation preferences, travel dates, party size and pace shaped around you
The route.
A day-by-day rhythm across Kenya and Tanzania — unhurried, with the pace shaped around your interests.
The itinerary.
A starting point — each day can be adjusted, extended or reshaped around you.
Leave Nairobi and travel into Kenya's Great Rift Valley toward Lake Nakuru National Park. The lake and surrounding national park create a distinctive opening chapter to the journey, combining woodland, grassland and lakeshore habitats within a relatively compact protected area. Lake Nakuru is particularly associated with birdlife and is also an important rhino conservation landscape. Flamingo numbers vary according to water conditions and food availability, and no specific wildlife sighting can be guaranteed. Explore the park before continuing to your accommodation.
Overnight in the Lake Nakuru region — accommodation confirmed during planning.
