A considered arc across northern Tanzania.
Begin among Kenya's open savannahs and Rift Valley landscapes before crossing into Uganda, where the journey follows the Nile, enters tropical forests and ultimately reaches the mountain home of the gorillas.
Primates & Plains is designed around contrast. Game drives give way to river journeys. Open grasslands become rainforest. Lions and elephants give way to chimpanzees and, subject to permits and trekking conditions, an encounter with mountain gorillas.
The journey concludes across the border in Rwanda, with Kigali providing the final chapter and onward gateway. Rwanda features here as a closing chapter rather than a full exploration — a deeper Rwanda extension can be arranged separately.

Arrive in Nairobi, where your journey across East Africa begins. After completing arrival formalities, transfer to your selected accommodation and settle in. The remainder of the day is intentionally light, giving you time to rest before the safari begins. Depending on your arrival schedule and final itinerary, additional Nairobi experiences may be arranged separately.

The final cost of Primates & Plains depends on travel dates, accommodation selection, party size, transport configuration and the availability and cost of required primate permits. Gorilla and chimpanzee trekking require advance permits and are subject to availability, age requirements, health rules and conservation regulations. Your Wildlux proposal will clearly confirm permit availability and whether permit costs are included in your quotation.
