Private Safaris

Your vehicle. Your guide. Your safari.

Tailor-made East Africa journeys planned around your dates, interests and pace.

Private safaris are at the heart of Wildlux. Instead of joining a scheduled group departure, your itinerary is designed for your party, with a dedicated vehicle and route shaped around what you want from the journey.

Private travel matters most in the small decisions: when to leave camp, how long to stay at a sighting, whether to stop for lunch or keep moving, and when a child, photographer or honeymoon couple needs a different rhythm.

It also lets us design the route from first principles instead of forcing your dates into a fixed departure schedule.

A route built around you.

We start with dates, interests, party size and comfort level. From there we choose the parks, number of nights and transport style that fit the journey rather than starting from a fixed template.

A dedicated guide changes the day.

Your guide is not balancing several unrelated travellers. That makes it easier to spend longer with the wildlife, adjust meal times, manage family needs or respond to changing conditions.

Private does not have to mean ultra-luxury.

Private guiding and private transport can be combined with Classic, Luxury or Signature accommodation. The journey style and privacy level are separate decisions.

Destinations connected to this collection.

Serengeti National Park
Tanzania

Serengeti National Park

The endless plains.

Fourteen thousand square kilometres of grassland, kopjes and riverine forest carrying the largest land migration on earth — and, outside the migration, the densest population of big cats in Africa.

Best time · There is no bad month, only a right sector. June to October for the northern river crossings and peak general game viewing; December to March for calving on the southern plains; April and May for green-season value and near-empty roads.
Ngorongoro Conservation Area & Crater
Tanzania

Ngorongoro Conservation Area & Crater

The world's greatest natural wildlife amphitheatre.

A UNESCO World Heritage Site where 260 square kilometres of crater floor hold lion, elephant, buffalo, leopard and one of Africa's last populations of black rhino — all beneath a 600-metre volcanic rim shared with Maasai herders.

Best time · June – October for dry, clear crater days. January – March for green landscapes, calving on the nearby Ndutu plains and fewer vehicles.
Maasai Mara National Reserve
Kenya

Maasai Mara National Reserve

Kenya's greatest wildlife theatre.

Rolling grassland on the Kenyan side of the Serengeti ecosystem, holding one of Africa's strongest lion populations and the Mara River crossings from July to October.

Best time · July to October for the migration and the river crossings; January and February for dry, clear conditions and excellent cats without the crossing crowds. The long rains from March to May are green, quiet and by far the best value.
Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Uganda

Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

One hour with a mountain gorilla family.

A dense, ancient montane rainforest in south-western Uganda holding roughly half the world's mountain gorillas, across four separate trekking sectors.

Best time · June to August and December to February are the drier trekking windows, with firmer trails and permits in highest demand. The wetter months are harder underfoot but greener, quieter and cheaper — and gorilla trekking runs all year.
Arusha
Tanzania

Arusha

The Gateway to Tanzania's Legendary Northern Safari Circuit

Arusha is Tanzania's premier safari gateway, offering easy access to world-famous national parks, Mount Kilimanjaro, rich cultural experiences, luxury lodges and authentic East African hospitality.

Best time · 15°C – 28°C | June – October | 1,400 m (4,593 ft)
Tarangire National Park
Tanzania

Tarangire National Park

Elephant country, written in baobab.

A baobab-studded valley along the Tarangire River, drawing Tanzania's largest dry-season elephant concentrations between June and October.

Questions

Frequently asked.

What does private safari mean?

It means the safari vehicle, guide and daily pacing are dedicated to your party rather than shared with unrelated travellers, unless your proposal says otherwise.

Can a private safari be midrange rather than luxury?

Yes. Privacy and accommodation level are separate. We can plan a private journey using Classic, Luxury or Signature stays.

Can we change the itinerary before booking?

Yes. The proposal is tailored and can be adjusted before confirmation so the route, stays and pace fit your priorities.

Not quite what you had in mind?
